Got a call from a traced number but it just keeps telling me the number's wrong. Feels like some kinda scam to me.

A chap rang claiming to be from Amazon, saying someone attempted to purchase a smartphone using my account. He wanted me to look over an email he supposedly sent. I told him he was clearly a fraudster and hung up without so much as a glance at my inbox! No emails at all received. :)

They rang me loads throughout the day but never bothered to leave a voicemail.

Somebody said they were from Google, but their English was really bad and they kept jumping around without making sense. Then out of nowhere, they said they wanted to help me confirm my business info on Google Maps - yeah right, as if I’d fall for that!

Got a call from some robotic voice claiming she was an officer from HMRC. She said I had to ring her back straight away on that number or else I'd face a lawsuit and lose loads of money. Felt like a proper scam to me.

Didn’t pick up and left no voicemail, which screams dodgy to me. Quite likely a scam or spam call. I've gone ahead and deleted the number and blocked it.
