Got a call from someone saying they were from Amazon, telling me someone had opened an account using my details. Didn’t trust it one bit, so I just hung up and reported the whole thing to the ICO.

Got a call claiming to be from Amazon, but I immediately ended it once I figured it was a scam. When I tried to ring back the number, it just said the number wasn’t valid. If the number itself isn’t real, then the call can’t be legit either.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon about my Prime account. Could tell straight away it was dodgy so I just ended the call. These scammers are clever, always changing their story. When you say you don’t have an account, they insist someone else set one up using your details. Best not to get into any of it, it’s just a trick.

I got a call on my home phone from someone claiming to be Amazon. The lady on the line told me they'd emailed me about a major security problem with my Amazon account. I told her I never saw any email like that. She insisted it wouldn't show up on my Android phone and said I needed to switch on my laptop to see it. I just didn't buy they were actually from Amazon, so I ended the call straight away.

I keep a dog whistle close to the phone just in case. Probably another scammer with busted eardrums calling again. Guess who wins? Me. Blocked.

Total scam for sure. They told me someone charged more than £600 on my Amazon account. I replied that I was a Chief Inspector from a fraud unit. Then they just cut me off... so rude!

Got a call from some idiots pretending to be Amazon, saying someone used my card without permission. They asked if I got an email about it. I just hung up straight away. Bet that’s only the start of loads more. People should stop this nonsense and find proper jobs instead of trying to scam folks. What clowns.

Got another call where no one said a word, definitely feels like one of those dodgy scam centres. I've blocked the caller now. Really wish BT would fix this mess. Even though I’m on the TPS list, these scam calls just keep coming through.

I got a call on my home phone from 01748 836 819 from a guy who said he was with Amazon. He spoke fluent English but had a bit of a foreign accent. Said his name was Mike Hills and told me someone hacked into my Amazon account and was using malware on my computer to make orders. It all sounded really dodgy to me. He wanted me to download some software from a website called anydesk.com so he could “remove” the malware. I told him no way, that seemed way too risky. After that he just hung up. I’m marking this as “Dangerous” since it seems like a proper scam.

I got a call claiming to be from Amazon saying there was a problem with my account, trying to trick me into giving my info. After a few seconds, I shot back with, "Hold on, the BBC just messaged me saying this is a scam call." The woman on the other end swore at me and slammed the phone down! Now whenever I get these dodgy calls, that's my go-to reply - seems to do the trick and maybe they’ll take me off their list or whatever.

I picked up but there was nobody on the other end. Pretty sure it’s just one of those annoying telemarketer calls.
