I’m gonna block the number after what I found out about it.2 yearsI received a rather dodgy phone call claiming there was an attempt to access my Amazon account details. They told me to check my emails, but before I could respond, the line went dead. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!Amazon2 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon, saying £700 had been withdrawn from my account and I should look at my emails on my laptop. I told them I hadn’t received any emails yet, but they said sometimes it takes a while to show up. They insisted on me checking my laptop and said they could hang about until I did. I told them straight away it was a scam and ended the call. The line was badly put through and their English was a bit iffy too.Amazon2 yearsToday, Friday 27 June 2024, at about 12.52, someone calling themselves "Alex" from Amazon rang my landline. He said he had sent me an email and seemed pretty rushed, ending the call before I had a chance to enter any password on my mobile (I obviously didn't give him anything, just told him to wait). Hopefully, I slowed him down a bit from trying to con other people. Oddly, even after I heard the call drop, when I looked at my phone’s call log it seemed like he might still have been connected. So, be careful and don’t give out any info until you’re sure the line is fully disconnected!AlexAmazon2 yearsI received a call from 01748835446 this morning.
