I picked up the call, but there was this awkward silence at first. Then he inquired whether I could hear him, and I replied that I was having a bit of trouble. After that, he suddenly disconnected the line.

Got a call from a woman who sounded Indian, and the number had the same area code as mine. She claimed to be from BT, although I'm not even a BT customer. When I asked why someone from BT would use a local number, she said it was a Global Number or something like that. When I kept pressing her, she just hung up. To me, it seemed like a scam call.
