Received a call today at 15:20 on the 6th of December from someone purporting to be with Amazon security. A chap on the line insisted that I should look at my emails. When I mentioned that I was a police officer and asked for his name, phone number, and department to verify his identity, the call suddenly dropped. Clearly a scam! Notably, this number is registered in Richmond, but Amazon doesn’t operate any facilities in this area.
