Pretty sure this is just some kind of scam call.

Got a dodgy call claiming to be from BT saying my computer was full of viruses. They just wanted me to turn it on so they could rip me off. Total scam as usual.

Somebody called me claiming to be from BT's tech support and said my internet would be down for two months, which made no sense to me at all. So, I just ended the call.

I keep gettin calls from this number on my home phone. Sometimes the caller says they’re from BT, but other times there’s just silence when I answer. I’ve ended calls a few times, and once they even rang back later that day just to swear at me for hanging up. They sound like they’re calling from abroad with a really strong Indian accent.
