This number has been ringing me non-stop for ages now. They claim to be Direct Response, and the first few digits match my local area code which makes it more annoying. They keep bringing up a car crash I was involved in way back in April 2015, saying the other side’s insurers have around £1,500 set aside for any injuries I might have had. Thing is, the accident wasn’t my fault at all. I was stopped and the other driver crashed into the back of me. Thankfully, no one got hurt - neither me, nor my passengers (and I didn’t have any), nor the other driver and their passengers. The insurance companies sorted everything out between themselves and since I wasn’t to blame, I kept my no-claims bonus. That should’ve been the end of it. Now these people won’t leave me alone with their calls. It really feels like a scam to me. I told them to put everything they’ve said in writing and send it to me. Knowing my luck, I doubt I’ll ever see a letter from them.

I've been getting calls from this number daily for more than a week now, definitely looks like a scam.

Got a really unpleasant call on my phone from someone saying they were from the "Insurance claim dept". When I asked them for their contact number or address so I could complain, they just gave me my home landline number instead!

Looks like someone’s copied my number, using my area code so it shows up as local on caller ID. I have a hunch it’s coming from Merseyside but then being routed through the States. Proper dodgy!
