I received a call on my home phone earlier today that raised quite a few alarm bells. The bloke on the other end was attempting to impersonate someone from my internet service provider. He claimed that my connection was at risk and insisted I follow his guidance to safeguard my broadband service. Fortunately, I’m fairly clued-up about these things, so it didn’t take much for me to realise he was up to no good. Sadly, I fear many folks may not have the same knowledge and could fall for such scams. I hope sharing this experience raises awareness. Stay vigilant, everyone!

A call came through claiming to be from my internet company warning me that my broadband was about to be disconnected. When I got in touch with my actual provider, they told me there was no truth in that at all.
