I received a pre-recorded message claiming that our broadband connection had been jeopardised and would be cut off shortly. Clearly, it was a dodgy scam. When I attempted to return the call, I was met with the oddity of the number being unrecognised, even though it was a landline with a Shaftesbury, Dorset area code. Quite peculiar, to say the least!
