I just received a call from these absolute numpties-no message left, of course! I've blocked the number, which was definitely the right move for these persistent cold callers who really ought to find a proper hobby instead!

They keep saying I've got unheard messages and to press 5 to listen. Honestly, don’t bother getting any device to block these calls - it won’t make a difference since these firms operate abroad. The rules aren’t as tough outside the EU. Best thing to do is just hang up and maybe put the kettle on instead. Hope you all have a lovely day and remember, we’re not falling for their tricks!

Got a call with this weird recorded message telling me to press 5 if I wanted free calls or 7 to opt out. I hung up straight away cos I was worried it might be some sort of scam trying to make me pay. Although, looks like other people aren’t having the same problem.

If they ring back again, I’m thinking of picking up and saying something like, "Hello, this is BT’s call screening, could you please tell me what this is about?" Got a call from this number tonight, claiming to be from solicitors about an accident that supposedly happened to us in the past three years. I told them no such accident ever took place. They insisted, quite sure, that someone in our family had been involved since they got our contact from a reported incident linked to our address. I clearly told them no one here or in my family had any accident, then just ended the call.
