I just heard an advert saying, "Get complimentary rings on your landline!" Sounds like a good deal, doesn’t it?

Received an unsolicited call on the third of March, 2014. It seems I’m getting complimentary calls on my landline that I didn’t ask for.

I just received a call from these absolute numpties-no message left, of course! I've blocked the number, which was definitely the right move for these persistent cold callers who really ought to find a proper hobby instead!

Every now and then, I get these cheeky calls pretending I’ve got voicemails waiting to be heard, and they urge me to press 5 to listen in. Honestly, don’t bother splashing out on gadgets to block them; it’s a futile effort given that these companies operate from abroad. The regulations aren’t nearly as tight once you step outside the EU's borders. Save yourself the hassle and the cash-just hang up and go fix yourself a cuppa instead! Wishing everyone a lovely day ahead, and let’s remember to stay wise and not be swindled by their tricks!

Luckily, I wasn't home when they attempted to call. I've gone ahead and purchased a CPR 106 nuisance call blocker from Argos for £38. I reckon it's a worthwhile investment just to put an end to these irritating phone calls!

Received a baffling call featuring a pre-recorded message, instructing me to press 5 to accept complimentary calls and 7 to decline. I decided to hang up straight away, worried it might be a trick to fleece me. However, it appears others haven't had the same issue.

Received a recorded message stating that we had a voicemail. My daft nan pressed a button, even though I explicitly told her to hang up, and ended up connecting to a premium service. What a palaver!

Had a call from this number three times today. I've gone ahead and blocked them. The Telephone Preference Service seems to be useless in this case, as it’s mainly for legitimate businesses. They aren’t able to prevent these pesky calls from coming through.

Received a call claiming to provide complimentary calls. However, when I attempted to return the call, it just connected me to an answering service. I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so I’m rather perplexed as to how they managed to reach me in the first place.

I've been getting calls from this number that insists I press 5 to claim complimentary phone calls! It's baffling who they might be, as when I attempt to ring them back, I’m greeted with a message saying their hours are only Monday to Thursday from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening. Yet, they still won’t disclose their identity. Quite the mystery, if you ask me!

Received a call touting complimentary calls - anyone have a clue who it might be?

I received an unsolicited call promoting "complimentary calls"; I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service. What on earth can we do to put an end to this ridiculousness?

Today, I've been hounded by this number non-stop! I've ignored every single call, and they just keep on ringing for nearly five minutes each time. If they ring again, I'll pick up but hit them with, "Good day, you've reached BT call screening, may I inquire about the reason for your call?" That usually sends them packing!

I received a rather dubious call this evening from someone claiming to be from a law firm, inquiring about a supposed accident which I can confirm never happened over the past three years. When I explained that we’d not had any incidents, they responded with unwarranted certainty, insisting that someone related to us must have been involved in some mishap, as they had supposedly acquired our number linked to an accident at our home address. I firmly reiterated that no one in my household or extended family has experienced an accident and promptly ended the conversation.

Received a call from these folks about 300 minutes back, touting some offer for free phone calls. Thought I’d ring them back, only to discover it’s a company named Optelecom. However, as soon as I got through, the line went completely silent. Quite odd!
