Got a call from 01746554997, Bridgnorth area, with someone saying they were from ‘3’ trying to pitch me a better deal for my business - problem is, I don’t run a business! Obviously trying to get my personal details. When I asked questions, the caller just hung up - silver lining, it was over quick! Blocked the number straight away. I’ve set my voicemail to say “unrecognised calls won’t be answered, please leave your name, number and reason for calling” - been brilliant for keeping spam away!

Got a call from some phone company trying to sell me an upgrade on an iPhone (I always use Samsung though). When I told them to take me off their calling list cause I wasn’t interested, the person replied with “why do you even bother?” then just hung up on me! Lovely bit of customer service, that 👌😒 Blocked the number straight away and reported it as a scam.

This woman kept saying she was calling from O2 and wanted to switch me to some business plan to lower my mobile costs. I explained I’m on pay as you go and spend about a tenner every year. She sounded a bit lost and just said thanks and bye. I’m pretty sure it was a scam and she wasn't actually with O2, but honestly it’s quite satisfying when you manage to get them to hang up on you for a change.

This morning, I had a rather dubious phone call from a woman purporting to be associated with my mobile service provider. She claimed she needed to discuss my account details. I swiftly realised it was a scam and promptly ended the conversation. Curious, I decided to call the number back using a landline with caller ID blocked, but all I was met with was a never-ending loop of music. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Unfortunately, I couldn't pip a word in edgeways, so I opted to hang up. Oddly enough, when the call came through, I could spot their landline number, but as soon as I picked up, it mysteriously transformed into 'Private call' on my display.

This is the second time they’ve rung in as many days. I ignored the first call, but when they called again, the guy said he was James from some website I didn’t quite catch. He started talking about ‘my order’ or something, but I just ended the call then and there (if it was legit from a place I’ve ordered from, they’ve got other ways to get hold of me). The caller was a bloke with a British accent, maybe from Sussex or London. He spoke really fast, trying to keep me on the line before I could hang up. Number’s blocked now.
