Got a call from a man with a really thick accent, sounded like he was from the Indian subcontinent. He said he wanted to discuss my O2 contract, even though I don’t have one. When I told him that, he just asked "Who do you use then?" and I ended the call. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Said they were calling from O2 about my contract, but I don’t have one with them, so I knew it was a con straight away. The accent was English, but the voice was so boring and lifeless, totally not what you’d expect from someone in a call centre! Just blocked the number.

I didn’t answer at first but rang back and it came up as plan.com, so pretty obvious it’s some kind of sales pitch.

I reckon this number picks up your voice and then plays it back to you. I just said hello once, and it kept echoing it over and over. Seems dodgy to me, like some kind of scam to capture your voice for deepfake stuff.

If this caller is really from "Plan.com" just avoid them at all costs, seriously. They are a complete nightmare and a total scam pretending to be “agents” for O2 and other mobile networks. Trust me, do NOT say I didn’t warn you. Best to stick with the well-known providers instead.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be with plan.com about my Vodafone account. Problem is, I don’t even have one. Told the woman I was just heading to the loo and my phone bills are covered by work anyway. She then said, “I never mentioned anything about a mobile account.” She totally contradicted herself. Pretty daft really. Ended up blocking the number.
