Got a call from some energy savings lot claiming I qualify for a grant. When I asked how they got my number, they said it was from the homeowners database. I’ve reported the call to ico.org.uk. The number they called from was 01746258247.

Got a call this morning from someone called "David" at 8:39 - that was the second annoying ring today. When I mentioned we had a really old boiler and that my missus claimed benefits, he suddenly got quite keen. He asked for our name and address, so I just kept him chatting to drag it out and waste his time. He threw out a postcode that was definitely wrong, probably straight from their list. The do-not-call registers don’t seem to do much, so I just pretend to be clueless and try to tie these calls up as long as I can.

Got a call at 10.15am on Saturday 8th Nov from someone claiming to be from an energy grant scheme about my combi boiler. They said I might be eligible for a replacement if my boiler is older than five years. Sounded alright at first, but when I looked at the number they were calling from, things didn’t add up. Asked where they were located and the caller said Yorkshire, but the number had a Bridgnorth code, which isn’t anywhere near Yorkshire according to my map. Bit fishy if you ask me.
