Somebody rang up saying they were from Sovereign solicitors, based in Shipley, about a no-fault car crash - which makes no sense since I’ve got a clean 9 years no claims. But the call actually came from Kings Lynn. It really sounded like a hectic call centre from India, to be honest. The lady on the line, with a South Asian accent, couldn’t tell me when this supposed “accident” happened, and had no clue about my name or the car involved. Pretty dodgy all round.

Sounds like a total scam about some accident from the past couple years. The voice had a strong foreign accent and the way they spoke was really dodgy. I wouldn’t put it past them to be using a cloned number too.

Some bloke said he was calling from Admiral over in Manchester, but he definitely sounded like he was from the sub continent. He was going on about some data breach that supposedly happened back in April 2020.

The caller seemed to be speaking with an Indian accent. He claimed to be from some sort of official organisation, though I couldn’t really catch which one. He told me I’d been in an accident sometime in the past couple of years. It was obviously a scam attempt, and when I didn’t play along, he got annoyed and said I was wasting his time before I ended the call.

Got a call from this number saying they were with RTA Assistance, only they said the call was about helping with a car crash I never had. The caller insisted it wasn’t a cold call, even though I told her my number’s on the Telephone Preference Service list. Funny thing is, I checked and RTA Assistance is actually in Birmingham and they make it clear on their website they don’t do cold calls. Smells like a total scam to me. Avoid!
