Got a call from someone called Ashley, who said because I always pay my direct debit on the dot and never make a claim, they’d be renewing my appliance insurance for less. I asked her to double-check my bank info to set up the new direct debit, hoping to catch her out. She couldn’t change the payment amount already taken (which makes sense since I don’t actually pay anything). She then got nasty and hung up on me. Total rip-off!

I got a call that was mostly quiet, just barely able to catch some giggles in the background. Sounds like they were speaking Punjabi or maybe a language close to it. Feels like the guy on the line got a bit mixed up and forgot whatever fake spiel he was supposed to be reading to try and con me.

This lady kept telling me I had insurance for my white goods, like my washing machine, which I definitely don’t. She kept going on about a direct debit I supposedly set up, but I never did. When I tried to explain, she just wouldn’t listen, so eventually I just ended the call.

Got a call from some bloke named Jayden, very obviously an Indian scammer, pushing that fake kitchen appliance warranty nonsense. He tried to convince me they were renewing a warranty for my fridge and cooker, wanting me to pay a supposedly "discounted" £145 a year, every year. They mainly go after older folks who might believe it's a genuine company. When I wasn’t having any of it, Jayden insulted me by calling me "gay," like that’s meant to be an offence or something. So yeah, not just a scammer but a rude, narrow-minded tosser too.

I reckoned he might be phoning from India, but he insisted he was down in Cornwall, which was odd cos his number looked like it was from Rhyl, Wales. Oh well, what can you do!

I'm really tired of all these calls coming through lately. When I pick up, I usually stay quiet and I can hear nothing from the other side. After a bit of silence, they just end the call without saying a word. There has to be a way to put an end to these annoying calls, surely.

Today I got a call on our home phone from a polite-sounding Indian guy who was pitching free will writing and discounted funeral packages. I was a bit wary straight away since it just seemed off to be making such offers over the phone. Since then, they’ve bombarded me with loads of calls and emails every day. Checking older comments on here, it looks like this number spams folks with a bunch of dodgy deals that sound too good to be true. BE CAREFUL if you get a call from this number. There’s a BBC show called Scam Interceptors that covers scams like these - worth a watch. This number definitely pushes suspicious “great deals” that you should avoid.
