Just like many others, as soon as my answerphone picked up, the caller immediately ended the call.

Got another ring from the same bloke who called before, said his name was Adam again. I just went with, "Hi Adam, still peddling the Microsoft scam, are we?" Funny enough, he just ended the call right there. Bit cheeky if you ask me!

Got a call from some persistent bloke, probably from India or somewhere near there. Next time I’m feeling rubbish, I reckon I might have a bit of fun with them. I cough up enough for my phone bill, might as well get some entertainment out of it!

Somebody said they were calling from Microsoft support, supposedly near Reading, but they sounded like they were miles away! I played dumb on purpose to waste their time till they finally gave up and ended the call.

This morning, I got a call from a number that turned out to be a Microsoft scam. I immediately spotted it and decided to keep the caller on the line for more than 15 minutes. Eventually, I told him I was aware of the scam, and he called me a fool. I told him he’d been paying for the call and that I was stopping him from scamming others. After that, he hung up. Since then, I’ve had two more calls from the same number, but when I answer, there’s no response. Seems like he’s just trying to get on my nerves.

Got a call from some guy with an Asian accent around 3:10 pm claiming he was from Microsoft. He said he needed to have a look at some error alerts on my PC. I wasn’t having any of it, told him to jog on and hung up straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Michael at Microsoft, but his voice was totally Indian or maybe Pakistani. Just the usual nonsense, so I ended it quickly by telling him to take a swim in the river.

On the 9th of April, I got a call from 01745591866. When I answered, there was total quiet on the other end, and they hung up pretty quickly. Later, I tried calling them back, but the number wasn’t recognised at all. Quite odd!

Got a call from a man with an Indian or Pakistani accent claiming he was from Microsoft tech support. He said my PC was hacked and wanted me to let him access it for a few minutes to fix it. I just ended the call and put his number on block. Definitely watch out for this classic scam!

Got two calls today from 01745591866. The first was some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft, sounded Indian. Later on, the phone rang again but when I answered, no one was there - just woke me up! Honestly, it’s frustrating BT doesn’t block these types of calls. Seems like most of them come from India, and it’s just a bunch of dodgy scammers to me. Proper annoying.

My phone showed 01745 591866 as "international", but since it looked like a local number, I picked up. A man claiming to be from "Microsoft" asked for me personally. I quickly ended the call. Later in the day, the same number rang again but I didn't answer this time. This screams scam to me - you'd think if no one answered, they’d stop? It’s really frustrating that BT can’t seem to block these fraudsters, and it's quite creepy that they apparently have your name.

Today I got a call from a guy who couldn’t even pronounce my last name right and he messed up my gender too. When I said I was going to hang up, he suddenly started babbling something that sounded like Chinese or some other language. I just wished him a good day and ended the call. That was the end of it.

The caller ID appeared as an international number, though it was actually a spoofed UK number. When I picked up, the person immediately ended the call - pretty typical scam behaviour, and seems like others had the same experience. Since it was an unknown number, I expected my BT call filtering to block it, but obviously that didn’t work. Really disappointing from BT’s end!

01745591866 called me claiming to be from Microsoft. When I refused to put anything into my computer for him, he got quite aggressive. I ignored the first three calls and let them go to voicemail but picked up on the fourth time. Told him to stop ringing me and he actually threatened me! I've blocked the number now, but I’m sure they'll just switch to a different one. Proper nasty lot.

Got a call from a number, but when I picked up, there was nothing on the line. Then, a couple of minutes later, another call came through from 04174559186, and there was still no one there. Seems a bit odd since both numbers looked really alike, probably not just a random chance.

Definitely a scam, but I decided to humour them. Turns out it was the identical caller someone else mentioned on here. I asked which PC she was referring to, and she said "the one with Windows 10." I told her I wasn’t exactly sure what she meant. She started to say "let me help you with that..." but I interrupted and said something along the lines of "how about you just leave me alone!" I’ve blocked the number straight after.

Somebody rang saying my PC had been taken over by hackers and was doing dodgy stuff. I played along, pretending I couldn’t start the computer and kept them chatting for about 10 minutes before I just ended the call. Then they phoned back around 90 minutes later and I gave them a firm telling off.

Wasn't having any of it and ended the call. Then he called again after I gave him a bit of a telling off. He tried saying he was locking my computer, but I just told him to go ahead because he obviously knows nothing about it. Ended the call again. Seriously, the best thing is just block them.
