No scam here for sure. Got a legit NHS call reminding me about an appointment, and they even let me choose whether to talk in English or Welsh.

I've received calls from a number that keeps leaving pre-recorded messages claiming to be from NHS Cumbria. It's happened on two occasions this week alone.

It’s not a scam at all, just a reminder call from a hospital about an upcoming appointment.

I got a call from 01745335977 and it was one of those recorded ones saying it was from NHS Wales. It asked me to press 3 if I wanted to carry on in English, but if you don’t press anything, it doesn't switch to Welsh which seemed odd. Feels like it could be a scam to me.

I’ve seen this number pop up a few times now, about four I think, but every time I pick up or it goes to voicemail, the caller just hangs up.

Not much going on in Rhyl during winter, so maybe thats why someone from there is calling loads of folks all over the UK. The downside of calling from such a small place is that if they're scammers, it shouldnt be too hard to track them down. Unless its some call centre in India playing clever tech games to hide their real location.

I've received multiple calls from this number in the past few days, but I've chosen not to pick up since my voicemail is activated. They've left no message, which makes me think it can't be all that crucial!

I got a call from this number that I missed, and it rang again. However, I accidentally pressed the button for the Welsh language option on my phone. Now I'm completely in the dark about what the caller was saying!

I find this utterly frustrating! My husband is dealing with several significant health concerns, and each time the phone rings, my immediate worry is whether it’s a crucial update regarding his medication or if a recent appointment has uncovered another issue. After going through the comments and checking my calendar-which indicates there are no upcoming appointments-I’ve made the decision to block that number.

I received a message reminding me about my appointment from the NHS in Wales, specifically the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board. Interestingly, I found the same phone number listed on the NHS Wales site (just search for BCUHB appointment reminders). They've garnered some recent media attention, as this initiative has reportedly helped the NHS save over a million pounds by reducing missed appointments. Quite impressive, isn't it? 😊

Indeed, I received a notification from Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board regarding a hospital appointment. If you're feeling uneasy, you can find their phone number mentioned in the FAQs on the NHS Wales site. The message reassures that it won’t concern any medical treatment or prescriptions; it’s solely a reminder for your scheduled appointment. So, there’s really no reason to fret if you happen to miss the call. For more information, a quick Google search for BCUHB appointment reminders should do the trick. :)

I received an automated message regarding my upcoming appointment from the NHS in North Wales. Honestly, if you happen to overlook it, there’s really no cause for concern. These reminders are simply there to jog your memory about your scheduled visit. They don’t discuss any medications or treatments-just a straightforward nudge about the appointment itself.

I recently received a reminder for my hospital appointment from Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan. It was a pre-recorded message from a lovely female voice, and it even offered me the choice to either confirm or cancel my appointment. The service had options in both Welsh and English, which I found quite handy - great to see they cater to everyone!

I received a rather peculiar call purportedly from Betsi Cadwalader, inquiring whether I could confirm an appointment slated for Friday at ten in the morning. Strangely, they were vague about which hospital it pertained to-either Ysbwty Glan Clwyd or Ysbwty Bodelwyddan. The tone was quite pushy and rather overbearing, mentioning that the conversation was being recorded as well. Honestly, the individual came across as rather unpleasant and unhelpful, which has left me feeling quite uneasy and sceptical about the legitimacy of the call.
