11 yearsYet another number that I can't seem to identify.13 yearsReceived a call on both my landline and mobile on the 23rd of October, 2013. Strangely, they didn’t bother to leave any sort of message. And as you mentioned, if you try to ring it back, you’re greeted with a rather perplexing ‘number not recognised’ message. Quite odd, isn't it?13 yearsThis evening (21/10/2013), I received a rather bothersome call from this number. The caller insisted that I log into my computer, claiming he could assist me with some programmes that were supposedly under siege by a virus. Thankfully, I didn’t take the bait. Just a word of caution to everyone!13 yearsReceived a call at 12:22 PM on the 21st of October from someone with a thick foreign accent, it seemed like they were in a shoddy connection. They claimed to be from an overseas call centre, trying to get me to access my computer. Definitely a scam! I swiftly told him to get lost.13 yearsReceived a call from this number around six in the evening. I picked up, but there was complete silence on the other end. After that, I tried ringing them back only to be greeted with a message saying, "the number you have called is not recognised." Quite odd, really!13 yearsIt appears this is one of those dodgy computer scam companies. What I tend to do is play along with them, acting as though I’m inputting the details they request. Then, when they ask what’s appearing on my screen, I reply with, “This is a scam - kindly tell them to bugger off.” It’s quite amusing how swiftly the line goes silent after that!13 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call from someone claiming to be from the previous owner's number-a rather obscure attempt to conduct a computer test, it seemed. The connection was dreadful, and I couldn't quite make out the name they requested at the outset. To my surprise, the caller was a woman with a rather pronounced accent-possibly Asian, though I couldn’t be certain. When I inquired about the purpose of the call and who she wanted to reach, I got an earful about her company and their reasons for ringing me. Her volume escalated significantly-almost shouting, really. So, I repeated my question about who she was after, being that I wasn’t the sole contact at this address. Unfortunately, before I could express that the individual she was looking for no longer worked here, she abruptly hung up. Quite rude, to say the least!13 yearsI just received a phone call trying to find out who owns this number, claiming to be from a technical service regarding a problem with my Windows computer. If they don’t even know my name, how on earth do they know anything about my computer? Sounds like a classic scam to me! Total nonsense!Submit Your Own Report (01744 755448)
