Got a call earlier today from someone saying he was Angelo, sounded like those Indian call centres. Claimed to be from Aviva, Legal & General, and Royal London about checking my life insurance. When I asked for his full name, he got really annoyed and accused me of being rude, then wouldn’t carry on with the call.

This morning I got a call from 01744 399676 but I didn't pick up since I never answer if the caller's a stranger. The phone didn't ring very long anyway. I checked online later and the number is apparently flagged as risky. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.

I seem to be plagued by non-stop calls from this number! It’s as if they think relentless ringing is the way to get my attention. They can keep trying because I'm not about to return the favour. It’s likely some sort of con, if you ask me.

I got a call for my missus, and the lass on the phone had this high-pitched voice that was really annoying - plus, there was all this background noise making it tough to hear. When I handed it over to my wife, who’s usually better at dealing with calls, she still found the woman’s accent tricky, sounded British or something. The call was something about insurance, but nobody was quite sure what exactly. My wife ended up firing back more questions than answers she got, and then the caller just dropped off. Made me think she’d been breathing helium or something.

Got a rubbish call about some life insurance thing. I just said I’ve got mine sorted through my job to get him off the phone. Then he started on about how it wouldn’t cover me if I left work, I said it would, and suddenly he changed his tune, spouting some other nonsense. He claimed he had my policy right there and I needed to look at it and change it, maybe get a different one. Total rubbish cos I don’t even have one, plus he got my name wrong! When I told him to remove my number and that I wasn’t interested, he just wouldn’t budge. 100% a scam, no doubt about it!

Received a phone call from some bloke calling himself “Mark O'Reilly” or whatever - his accent was really thick, definitely not British. He said it was some kind of mandatory survey and started asking me about my life insurance. When I requested he send the details through the post instead, he just cut me off.
