Someone called me saying they had proof I worked somewhere loud. I told them I didn’t, so they asked where I did work. I said a travel agency, and she just went, “Oh, so you’re an actor then!” before ending the call right there. Pretty odd.

A group of blokes are pestering folks regarding some industrial claims - one number from St Helens and another from Warrington. They're clearly purchasing their information from a UK data company, which is rather dodgy if you ask me.

This number just rang me, I kept saying hello like six times but no one answered. Think I'll just block it now.

they told me their files showed that i did some “industrial work”. i told them that wasn’t true and they said unless i told them what work i had actually done, they couldn’t remove me from their list. i refused and they just dropped the call on me. seemed to me like they were trying to set me up for some kind of compensation claim or something dodgy like that.

When I spoke with them, they claimed their files indicated I was involved in "industrial work." I firmly informed them that this was untrue, yet they insisted that to remove my name from their records, I needed to disclose the type of work I’ve actually done. I opted not to divulge any details, at which point they just cut the call without further ado. It left me feeling they were possibly aiming to fabricate some sort of compensation claim or something along those lines.
