This number has rung me twice just in the last half hour. I've ignored earlier calls from it 'cause it seemed like a scam, even though I'm a BT customer. When I looked up the number and area code through BT records, nothing came up at all.

Got a call pretty early this morning from a number I hadn't a clue about. I usually get a handful of calls on the landline but this one felt off. Didn’t bother picking up since I figured it was just another cold caller, especially ‘cause they didn’t leave any voicemail or anything.

On Monday 21st January 2019 at 8:43am, I got a recorded call from a woman saying she was from BT warning me my internet was going to be cut off today. She told me to press “1” to find out more. Since I don’t use BT, I thought it was dodgy and just ended the call. Then I tried calling back the number that showed on my phone, but it said “invalid number, please check and try again”!

I got a call at 8.35 this morning from someone with an American accent claiming to be from “British Telecom”. They said my internet would be cut off if I didn’t press 1 to talk immediately. I just hung up and checked the number by dialling 1471.
