I received a call from a lady purporting to represent BT. She insisted that they had spotted some problems with my router and urged me to install a specific application, which supposedly would enable them to “sort everything out from afar.” Quite dubious if you ask me!

I tried calling back twice after they hung up as soon as I answered, but both times the line was busy right after it dropped.

Got a call from someone with a thick African accent, sounded like they were abroad. They didn’t give a name, just said they were from BT and claimed they noticed issues with my router. I told them I’m not a BT customer and have no problems, then ended the call.
