Someone pretended to be from 3 about my mobile deal, but it was obviously a scam and totally misleading (definitely not 3). When I called them out, they said they weren’t scam artists, which was just more lies. If they’re really operating from the UK, how come nobody’s shut them down yet?

They were trying to get me to switch to some 0² phone deal. Sounds way off, not sure they follow TPS rules, feels a bit sketchy to me.

Somebody pretending to be from o2 called me, said they had a better contract offer, told me to open my o2 app, but I just ended the call.

This was definitely a scam. They pretended to be from a phone company just to trick me into giving away my personal and bank details.

A lady called on this number saying she was from O2. She kept pushing when my husband said he wasn’t interested, and he had to firmly tell her to stop. Sounds like a proper scam to me.

I usually don’t pick up calls from strange numbers but this one had an area code nearly the same as my hospital contact. The person said something about a Three account and tried to get me to upgrade my plan. I said no thanks nicely and they just said “bye” and hung up. I’ve now marked the number as dodgy so I won’t be answering if they call again.

Has anyone come across deals on EE bills for folks who are self-employed? Seems like it’d be handy to get reduced rates if you work for yourself. Anyone know if EE discounts like that exist or if they’re just a myth? Cheers!

I've been inundated with calls from what I gather are PPI scammers, all starting with 01743. Since that’s my local number range, I used to pick up, but I've since put a stop to it and blocked them all. Each time, they bombard me with the same line, claiming "you ARE eligible for PPI refunds" - but I know that’s nonsense, as I previously worked at a bank and those staff personal loans weren’t applicable! It's quite infuriating, so I’ve taken to being rather blunt with these callers given the sheer volume of 01743 numbers they seem to wield!
