Got a call today, 21st Jan 2019, from a Shrewsbury number 01743 784596. Some automated voice claimed to be BT, threatening to cut off my broadband right away unless I pressed one to reconnect or two for something else. I didn’t listen much further and just ended the call. Tried ringing the number back but it didn’t go through or wasn’t recognised. Definitely seemed dodgy.
