Got a call today, 30.3.2017, trying to sell some insurance for Sky dish and box. I told them I don’t have Sky anymore and then they switched to offering insurance for my TV. I told them I got 2 TVs and I’m already covered. Then they started offering cover for my dishwasher and stuff too. The person on the phone was really polite though, seemed like they might be new and just trying hard, maybe needed the job.

Afterwards, I phoned Sky to check and gave them the company's name; Sky said they weren’t connected at all and warned me not to share any info. I could’ve easily fallen for their trick! Be careful, they can sound really convincing. If you want insurance from Sky or any other service, it’s best you ring them yourself. Their insurance is handled by Domestic & General only, no one else! Even then, it’s safer to contact Domestic & General directly.

My mum answered a call earlier today, and the person claimed to be from Sky. When I looked up the number on their official website, it wasn’t listed anywhere, so it seems dodgy to me. This happened on Monday, the 23rd of November 2015, around 3:30pm.
