Got a call from this number at 3:26pm on 12/05/2023 but I didn’t pick up. There was no voicemail left. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

Spoke to EE customer care once more. This number has popped up before quite a few times. Never share your info. If you’re unsure, just don’t answer. Not an EE call, for sure a scam. Blocked it on my phone now.

Plan.com does seem like a legit company. But as a business, they really ought to understand that cold calling usually just sets off scam warnings. They might want to rethink how they do their marketing. There’s loads of scammy cold calls about these days. I’d say, NEVER pick up or reply to cold calls!!!

I've been getting calls from "plan.com" lately, they just ring and then hang up as soon as I pick up. This has happened a couple of times a day over the last two days. Eventually, someone did answer and started pushing phone contracts or deals, making it seem like they were with my existing provider trying to upsell me a "better" plan. Quite annoying, really.

Got a call from someone claiming to be EE, saying they’d review my plan and promise a cheaper deal. I asked them to verify the last three digits of my phone number. Even though they’d just rang me on that number, they couldn’t confirm it and ended the call straight away!

Said they were 'Plan.com' ringing about my EE account with offers for upgrades (which plan.com doesn’t do anywhere online) but my partner works at EE and told me they don’t use any third parties to call customers, and if they ever did it’s really unusual. When I called them out on the scam, they just tried to end the call sharpish. If you’re ever unsure about calls like this, just hang up and ring your network on a number from their official site. Proper scammers, honestly.

Got a call from this number just now. They only said a quick 'hello' and nothing more. I ended the call straight away! There was quite a bit of noise in the background too. I'm going to block it.

plan.com seemed to have my number because they thought I was 'registered as a limited company owner' or 'self-employed', and they called to chat about 'business' phone packages and whether I wanted to upgrade or buy something. Once I told them I’m not self-employed, the lady was really nice and promised to remove me from their contact list.

This guy claimed to be from O2, said there was an issue with my O2 plan! When I asked for his name, he said Alex. Then he started grilling me for my full name, address, all sorts. Lucky for me, Alex’s dodgy English and poor logic soon made it obvious he was lying. Still had a bit of fun telling him exactly where he was calling from and what my room looked like! Told him I always keep my camera lens covered and warned him not to mess with anyone in security 🙌

Got a call from some bloke called Harry sayin he was from PlanB and asked if I was happy with my account. Then he started banging on about switching providers and claimed he was with O2. I played along for a bit before just hanging up on him. He sounded a proper chav, so I wasn’t really in the mood to chat.

What an absolute farce! The person on the other end hadn’t a clue about my identity, so I probed for her name but she flat-out refused. Later, while attempting to block that pesky number, I mistakenly rang it back and a chap picked up claiming he could lower my O2 plan’s cost. I pointed out that this wasn’t an O2 contact, to which he absurdly affirmed it wasn’t. He went on to assure me that O2 wouldn’t share my details with any third party. He kept interjecting as I spoke, but I wasn’t having any of it. Before ending the call, I figured I’d ask him how it felt to be a cog in a dodgy operation!

Totally a scam, said they were from EE. I told them if I needed to talk to EE, I'd call them myself. No way I’d get a random call outta nowhere. The bloke had a sketchy accent, sounded a bit rough, not what you’d expect from a proper company. I told him not to bother calling again ‘cos it’s clearly a scam. He just said they weren’t, but sounded so fake about it. Watch out for this number - it’s definitely a SCAM.
