I told Trading Standards and Action Fraud about this number on the 21st of November, and I’m a bit let down it kept being used for scams for four more days after that. On the bright side, it looks like nobody else reported anything after the 25th of November here. Still, these scammers wouldn’t keep going if it didn’t pay off for them sometimes, so I can’t help but wonder how many people fell for it in those extra days.

On the 24th of November, this number rang me. The caller said they were from 'TalkTalk'. I was a bit blunt with them, and they ended the call straight away!

So this morning at like 7am I got a call, right? I asked the bloke if he knew the time and he said it was 7. Then I was like, 'Why don’t you find a real job? Does your mum see you as a success?' That really set him off, he went mental and started yelling "piglet" at me or something. It was kinda amusing, but then he cut me off before I could call him a rats afterbirth or something equally cheeky.

The phone keeps buzzing but there's never a voicemail left. After seeing all the Talk Talk stories here, I'm planning to report them to Ofcom as soon as they ring again. You can actually do it online, although it’s a bit more involved than this site with all the forms you have to fill out. I might have a bit of fun first though, I did something like that before and the bloke said I was wasting his time. Told him right away I could tell he was a scammer and was just messing with him. He ended up hanging up! Made me chuckle :)

Got a call from someone with a really posh English name, but I know they were from India. This was the same bloke who’s rung me before. He said he wasn’t trying to sell me anything, so I asked what the point of the call was if it wasn’t a friendly chat. Next thing, he just ended the call.

Got a call from someone pretending to be TalkTalk about a supposed problem with my router. Told them I didn’t have any issues and that they were definitely scammers. The moment I said that, they just cut the call straight away. Classic TalkTalk scam attempt.

This morning, at half past seven on the 25th of November, 2017, I received a call. The bloke on the other end had my name and immediately started chattering away in a foreign accent. When he inquired if he could call me back later, I informed him I was still in my pyjamas and preferred that he didn’t bother. I promptly hung up. Here’s to hoping they take my hint and steer clear of ringing me again! One can only wish, I suppose.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Talk Talk, telling me there was a big security problem with my internet and I should be super worried. I told them to leave me alone and just ended the call. They actually rang straight back wanting to know why I’d cut them off and why I wasn’t listening to their warning. Honestly! So I ended it again. A few days later they called once more, and I nicely asked them to stop calling me before hanging up again. Such a pain.

Yesterday, I received a call from this number just as I was preparing to head out. Something about it made me sceptical - it didn’t sound like a bona fide TalkTalk representative. So, I wasn't shocked to find out that this number has been flagged as a scammer’s contact previously.

I answered the call but the person hung up straight away. When I looked up the number on 1471 and tried calling back, it just said “the caller is unable to answer right now” and their voicemail was so full I couldn’t even leave a message. Strange!

Got a call from a guy named David, sounded Indian, claiming to be from TalkTalk. He said they found viruses on my computer and tried to convince me to let them fix it - obviously the typical scam. I told him straight up I wasn’t falling for it and he ended up swearing at me! Proper nasty people these lot (I told him that too). I’ve reported the whole thing to the fraud squad. My elderly dad was recently tricked out of cash by these scammers, it’s awful!

Got a call from this guy claiming to be from Talk Talk, asking me how I was doing. He had an Asian accent, which made me suspicious right away. Told him straight away I’m not with Talk Talk anymore - had enough of them and their terrible service. Didn’t want to waste more time and just said goodbye, then he hung up. Pretty obvious scammer if you ask me.

I received yet another call from this number this morning. I've repeatedly informed them that I’m fully aware they’re nothing but scammers and con artists. Typically, the callers sound Asian but use anglicised names, and they tend to become quite abrasive when confronted with the truth about their ploys.

Typical scam, all tied to that TalkTalk data breach, with the classic "we've detected strange stuff on your PC" line. Funny thing is, these calls, which are actually from India, are now showing UK numbers - I've had calls from places like Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Omagh, and today Shrewsbury. Seems like people are finally wary of answering random unknown numbers! I've reported this one to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice and also to Action Fraud. Hopefully they’ll manage to block at least this number soon.

I always try to be polite and answer cheerfully, then I tell them to hold on a sec.
