Got a call today from someone claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service or TPS - never had a single call from them in all the years I've had this number. The bloke said his name was Eric, just like the last caller. I mentioned that he’d rung me previously. He insisted it wasn’t him. I asked what he actually wanted then. He rambled on about there being many Erics. So I repeated, “What’s the reason for your call?” Eventually, he got all annoyed told me not to shout, then simply hung up on me!
