Got a call from someone with a thick Asian accent trying to chat me up about life insurance - sounded really shifty. I ended the call straight away and blocked the number. What a nuisance!

Got a call on my mobile from a woman with an Asian accent, spoke quite fluent English. She said it was about a life insurance review and used my full name straight away, which surprised me. When I asked how she linked my number to that name, she dodged the question, and after I started avoiding her queries, she gave up. At least she was polite enough to wish me a good afternoon before hanging up. Felt a bit fishy, maybe a scam or phishing attempt. Not overly pushy, but I’ll tag it as a nuisance call anyway.
