Today, I received a call from an Indian gentleman who claimed to be representing BT, insisting he needed to chat about my internet connection. He brazenly suggested that he could improve it by accessing my computer to "eradicate all issues," a line he repeated with such conviction, as if it were some sort of clever mantra. Realising it was a scam, I swiftly ended the call.
