7 yearsLooks like this number is linked to Perth (the one in Scotland, I presume!). The chap on the other end was definitely not European, let alone Scottish or even from Australia! He claimed to be representing BT, insisting that my wifi was malfunctioning. Given that I was actively online at that moment, it was clear nonsense. I challenged his assertion, and when he pressed for proof of my certainty, I explained that BT doesn't typically initiate calls like that without reason. I promptly ended the call and blocked him. Regrettably, it seems BT does, in fact, make marketing calls from non-0800 numbers, which puts genuine staff in a rather rough spot, treating them like common fraudsters.
