Got a call this evening from a number with my local area code, the caller said they were from Scottish Power. When I asked where they were calling from, turns out it was the Philippines 🙈. I then asked why they’re using a local number, he kinda stammered and I just hung up and blocked him.

He asked me a couple of things about my energy suppliers, then tried to get me to switch over to Scottish Power. I told him no, and he kept going on about how their rates were great or whatever. I said no once more, and he just said have a good day.

This number called me earlier today. The person on the line had my full name and address and claimed it was about my utility bills. The woman kept insisting on my exact age, saying she needed to make sure I wasn’t underage. I gave her a general age range, but she wanted the exact number. I asked why she needed such personal info when it didn’t seem relevant to my utilities, and then I just ended the call.

I've been plagued by this persistent phone number that's been ringing non-stop, only to leave me hanging without a word. I've had no choice but to block the caller and report them. Could very well be a cheeky prank from some youngster, but honestly, it doesn't make a difference to me. Harassment is harassment, plain and simple.

They rang me like, 3 times real quick one after the other so it’s gotta be one of those auto dialer things. I normally ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise, so was lucky I didn’t pick up this time. Seriously, don’t answer if it’s not someone you know and there’s no voicemail left. I reckon all numbers coming from India should just be blocked straight away.

Some woman kept asking for my late husband. I told her he’s passed away and then ended the call. These calls come in a few times a week, always from different numbers. My husband died five years ago and had Alzheimer’s for 11 years before that, so he hasn’t been involved with any companies since 2005 at all.

The bloke on the phone had a strange accent and kept getting my first and last name wrong. He said his name was Jason. He then tried to get me to give him personal details but I just wouldn’t do it. He didn’t seem bothered and started asking which newspaper I read. I told him I was puzzled about why he was asking me all these things, and he snapped back, “Didn’t you hear me, are you deaf or what?” I told him to shove off and ended the call.

Got a call from a random number, some woman claiming to be from a firm called Verso (searched it up and there’s no sign it’s real). She asked about my address, age group, and details about my energy provider. When I asked how they were going to use my info or why they needed it, she just wouldn't say.
