Got a call saying it was SSE chasing me for a final bill of over £300 from last July. Thing is, I've been a Bulb customer for ages. They said they'd put me through to the finance team but the line just kept ringing out. Felt a bit dodgy, so I’m not completely convinced it was legit.

I received a peculiar missed call from a number that wasn't saved in my contacts. Since I just changed my phone number a few weeks back, my curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to ring back, but I masked my number for safety. The call went directly to voicemail, which had an odd recorded message about some sort of latency testing. It's best to steer clear of this one!

I called them back and they asked me to do this “echo test”, seemed fishy and kinda risky.
