Got two calls within a day, both times no one spoke. One was around lunchtime, the other at 8.13am, and it actually woke me up from sleep! I've already reported it to OFCOM.

This number has rung me a couple of times today, plus once yesterday. They said they were from BT about my internet. Every time I just go, "Nah, you’re not," and hang up. Wish my phone had a caller ID so I could spot them quicker.

As soon as I picked up, they just hung up - seemed like a scammer from what I've read here. I usually don't say anything first. Normally, if it’s legit, they’d already have your name and ask to speak to you directly.

Got calls at 8 in the morning and then again just before ten. Each time it cut off before I picked up. Used 1471 to see who it was and got the number but when I rang back it went straight to voicemail with some weird name I didn’t recognise. Honestly, how are these calls still allowed? Why's there no way to take legal action or sue these pests?

I keep getting calls from 01737856535, which is meant to be from Redhill, but my phone says it's an internet call each time. Whenever I pick up it just ends straight away as soon as the answer machine comes on. Looks like a typical scam to me.

Got two calls earlier today from this number. I picked up since the area code looked like it was from Redhill, where I used to be based. But from what I’ve read, seems like scammers can fake these codes now, which is a bit worrying. The first time I answered, they just ended the call straight away. The second time, I said “hello” and they hung up without saying a thing, no script or anything. It’s strange behaviour - don’t get why they bother. I’ve blocked the number now anyway.

Got two silent calls, just over an hour apart, like 1 hour 16 mins or something. Pretty sure it’s a scam trying to get me to ring back, then they probably switch you over to one of those pricey 09 numbers without you knowing. Total dodgy move.

Got a call claiming to be from BT saying my computer was hacked - sounded a bit dodgy straight away. So I played along for a bit, said I was helping them sort out the “hack.” Then I joked about playing a game of ‘bugger off’ and said they should start. Guess what? They hung up pretty sharpish! Pretty funny how quick they were to vanish.

I picked up the call and it just went dead straight away. This happened shortly after I got a recorded message about my BT broadband being cut off. I repeated "great" and they just hung up.
