Somebody rang me claiming to be from BT's call blocking team, asking if I was still plagued by nuisance calls. She mentioned they’re putting in effort to tackle the problem but needed more time to perfect it. I asked her which firm she was actually from and then she just cut the line. Her English was good and she had an accent, sounded quite trustworthy at first. But as soon as she started asking for my card info, I got really suspicious. Seriously, don’t pick up those calls!

Got three calls today from a recorded voice pretending to be BT, saying my internet and landline will be disconnected. Thing is, I don’t even have BT as my provider! Pretty clear it’s a scam.
