It keeps ringing but the moment I pick up, the line just goes dead. Yet, it won’t stop calling me.

In the past day, this number has called me about 5 times. Each time when I pick up, no one says anything and then it just goes quiet. I tried calling back and asked to speak to someone, but they just ended the call. I've had enough now and won't be picking up anymore. Can anyone tell me who they are and what they want? I've also put my number on the TPS list.
