Then put on some music in the background and go make yourself a brew. Leave them waiting while you’re obviously busy. Another trick is to turn the tables by firing questions back at them. Ask for stuff like their birthday, address, mum’s maiden name, if they’ve got a mortgage or credit cards. Makes you feel like you’re calling the shots and kind of messes with their game. Got a call saying if I do a quick 2 minute lifestyle survey, they’d give me a £50 M&S voucher. The questions were weird though - like who my gas and electric provider is, what broadband I use, if I have a mortgage, whether I own a dog, if I’m going away this summer, and even what papers I read. They promised to buy me stuff or give free things for my answers. But I kept wondering, why do they even need to know if I own my home or if I’m going on holiday? Doesn’t seem right. Total scam in my opinion, so I’ve blocked the number and won’t ever pick up from it again. Be careful with these calls asking for your details!

They're a Private Limited Company based in the UK, doing market research and public opinion polling stuff. Their last accounts were for 2014 and labelled dormant, but they’ve got a mortgage listed too. Interesting to see they haven’t submitted all their paperwork on time either. Quite odd call to get, to be honest!
