I've been getting a bunch of calls like this. They leave a number on my voicemail as if I missed a call, but weirdly, there’s no ring sound when it supposedly came through. Feels like a total scam, probably trying to get you to ring back and charge you for it. Pretty dodgy tactic if you ask me.

Today at 1:55 pm, I got a call from this number. The guy on the line had an Indian accent and was telling me I’d been part of an accident last December. Since that’s not true, I just ended the call. I have since blocked the number.

I got a call from the number 01736 811237 at approximately 11:20 in the morning on the 8th of September, 2021. I attempted to return the call about an hour later, but there was no response. It feels rather dodgy, if you ask me.

Got a call from a number with my area code. There was loads of background noise and it sounded like a bunch of people chatting at once. Didnt seem right - I live in a remote part of the south west and I doubt there's a call centre nearby. A guy with an accent tried to help me 'update' my computer or something? Got a call from someone saying they were from General Insurance Limited about an RTA I apparently was involved in and had supposedly asked them to get in touch about. I told the woman that wasn’t right and no thanks. She sounded nice and wasn’t being aggressive or anything.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the Motor Insurers Bureau about a recent road accident I was involved in, which is true. Thing is, the crash was with a company car so they’re handling it, not me. When I asked how they found my number, they just cut me off. Total spammy behaviour.
