Today this number rang my daughter's phone. We've had to give out her number lately to get in touch with some companies, and now the annoying calls have started. She's blocked it, but it's crazy how simple it is for these scumbags to find you, even when you haven't given your number to just anyone. Random calls can happen to anyone, but she was pretty lucky before we silly used her number to make things easier for some businesses. Based on what I’ve seen, I’m labelling this one as DANGEROUS.

Someone rang me just a short while ago saying they're reaching out about a loan application, but I never applied for one. When I told them that, they just ended the call. I tried to ring back to ask why they were so abrupt, but you’re not able to call this number again.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, not British, saying he was from some benefit centre in Newquay. He told me I needed life insurance or that I’d already started a claim for it. I was at the hospital and it was quite noisy, so I asked him to repeat what he said. Then he just asked again if I needed life insurance. I said no, and he just hung up. I checked the number later ‘cause I know folks from that area.

this guy called me with an indian accent, said he was ringing from some benefit centre in newquay. kept telling me i either needed life insurance or that i'd started a life insurance claim or something. i was in a busy hospital at the time, so i asked him to repeat it because of all the noise. then he asked once more if i wanted life insurance, and i said no. after that, he just hung up. i decided to check the number since i have friends around there.

Got a random call from some call centre askin' if the boss was there.

A person rang saying I owed some money, but that was all I heard. I just told them to **** right off and then blocked the caller. Only picked up because the call showed as from Penzance, where some of my family live.

Got calls from some Indian blokes claiming they were from TalkTalk, wanted to check my internet connection and said they’d refund me by logging into my account online. They ended up getting to view my screen on my computer too. Now they have my bank info, maybe even online banking details. I’ve had to move money out to other accounts and might have to shut these ones down altogether. I rang TalkTalk afterwards to double check and they said everything’s fine with my landline.

Had a call from someone with a non-British accent claiming to be from a UK Helpline, saying I was on an IVA. I told them they were mistaken, that I'm on the TPS list and asked how they got my number. They said some 'research department', and I told them they weren’t allowed to contact me legally. He then got quite rude, saying something about how I “religiously have to pay my debt” - which made no sense as I don’t have any debt. I told him to take me off their list and he just hung up.

Got a missed call from this number when I was in Penzance, so I decided to ring back from my withheld landline. But it just says the number doesn’t exist! Seems like they pick numbers that look local so you’re more tempted to pick up. Guess I’m not that important since they didn’t leave any message!

Got a missed call on me phone so I rang back using the work phone. No reply and the line sounded dead. I've blocked the number now on me mobile. Since my phone’s on the TPS list, its clear no one really bothers checking it. I’ve reported the number to them as well. They really shouldn’t be keeping anyone’s info without proper permission under GDPR.

picked up and asked where they got my info from. they said it was from “an insurance claim” linked to me. i calmly explained i’ve never had any insurance claims, current or past. then ended the call. just another annoying scammer phone call.

Just got a call from this number. A woman asked if she could talk to me using my maiden name I haven’t used in like 15 years! I said I didn’t know anyone by that name. I knew right away it was dodgy, and she hung up on me straight away! When I tried calling back, the line just disconnected. Definitely a scam, gonna report it!

Got a call from someone saying they were with a government place called Inland Claims. The person sounded foreign and was really aggressive. When I said that department doesn’t exist, they got rude and started shouting, accusing me of wasting their time! Avoid answering or dealing with any calls from this number, it’s definitely a scam.
