Somebody rang me claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. They even mentioned my name and who I have my phone with, trying to sound like they were legit and professional.

So this number has been calling me loads today but didn’t leave any message. Like I always do, I looked it up here and just blocked it straight away. I joined that Create and Craft membership (Ideal World) last night, and now I’m getting these annoying calls already, just like others said. Really annoying!

I received a call from someone claiming to be affiliated with Create & Craft, chatting about some recent order of mine and mentioning that I was eligible for various vouchers and discounts at numerous well-known supermarkets. Ideal World or maybe some dodgy company they’ve passed my info onto without asking (I definitely didn’t agree to any of that by ticking anything). They’ve been ringing every day, now trying to flog me what sounds like a subscription for 'Puzzle Books'. I got in touch with Ideal World, and they told me I’d ticked the consent box, but they said they’ll take my details off their list now.

Upon investigating the number, it seems it could belong to Ideal World. We made a recent purchase with them and, at the time, they did inquire whether we wished to receive notifications about other potentially advantageous offers.
