What a nuisance! They've called me on two separate occasions and all they did was dial with two digits altered. No message left as per usual! I'm at a bit of a loss as to what their intention is, so I’m going to go ahead and label it a scam.

I've been inundated with calls from various numbers in Bournemouth lately. The most recent one was regarding loft insulation, but I chose not to pick up and promptly added the number to my block list.

I received a rather intrusive phone call from a woman purporting to work for Insulate Your Home. She attempted to pitch loft insulation to me. Quite frankly, it was an unsolicited conversation that I could have done without.

As we’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service, it’s fair to assume that any calls coming in are likely sales attempts that aren’t respecting that association. We never actually engaged with them, perhaps due to the fact they didn’t clear the BT call screening that’s been set up.

However, there are times when I’m curious enough to return the call. This time, though, when I tried to ring back, it just didn’t connect— that struck me as rather dodgy.

Claimed his name was Luke and described himself as my “neighbourhood energy adviser”. Quite the stretch as the area code points to Peterborough, which is a good hundred miles from me. Clearly another dodgy scheme.
