Someone called me saying they could knock my Sky bill down to £37 a month from £87. I told them my Sky account wasn’t with Openreach anymore, it’s with Virgin Media now. They kept asking loads of questions that I figured they should already have answers to. Then they gave me a number in case the call dropped and later told me their name before asking me to ring a different number. In the end, I just hung up.

Like loads of others, I got a call from someone saying they work for Sky and could get me a better price by using a broadband line supposedly leased from Virgin. Honestly, I’d say these folks are pretty risky if you’re not careful, since there’s a real chance they’re after your bank details. I’m just ignoring every call from numbers starting with 020 4624 **** now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying they wanted to switch my broadband over to Virgin for a better rate. I double-checked with BT and turns out it was a total scam. They even had my full info, including my date of birth, which was pretty creepy.

The number showed up as possible spam on my phone, so I just ignored it and blocked it straight away. I’m sure they’ll ring back from another number that’s nearly the same but with a few digits changed. If you don’t recognise the number, it’s best not to pick up. And if you do, keep your wits about you. Not all of those calls are from foreigners, but the majority seem to be.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Sky Broadband yesterday, asked loads of questions trying to gather info. I told them I was fine with my service and would reach out if there were any issues. They ended the call pretty quickly after that. Pretty sure it was a scam, and the number they used didn’t even look like it was from Sky.

Got a call from a woman saying her name was Kylie and she was from my internet provider. She told me my monthly bill was going up by £10. She somehow already had my full name, address and birthday. When I didn’t give her any more info, she started getting really rude and even swore at me. Definitely a scam.

This number 01733 964024 keeps ringing me even after I blocked and reported it. They still find a way to get in touch. Total SCAM! Honestly, don't pick up and make sure to block it right away.

So, this caller began by telling me my dad had passed away - which was nuts because he’s actually in hospital right now, what a crazy coincidence. Then they claimed he was needing cash for medical bills. A bit later, I got another call from someone saying they were from BT but they had all my info, freaky really since I’ve never even used BT before. The bloke had a thick Indian accent, terrible English, and you could hear people shouting in the background. Makes you wonder what kind of life those scammers lead. Bet their families must be so proud... Not. Stay alert, everyone!

These callrs are total scammers! They say they’re from BT but they’re not legit at all. Just a heads up, please warn elderly or anyone you know to be really careful and NEVER share any bank info! They somehow know loads about you already. I get a bunch of calls every week from these dodgy people, with strong Indian accents but using proper British names, which just sounds off. Don't fall for it!

So these lot rang me up and the bloke on the line said he was David Reid, even gave me his number! He claimed that Sky was pulling out of my area and switching to Virgin. Thing is, I’d only just switched from Virgin to Sky, so I was a bit baffled. He basically told me I wasn’t meant to get it and just hang up. Next day he called again, so I told him pointless to bother and then ended the call. πŸ˜†

I can assure you, this isn’t a dodgy operation at all. I recently registered with them, and a Virgin Media technician arrived at my home to get everything sorted out for me. It’s all above board, I promise! The customer service was fantastic; I had a lovely chat with an agent called Tasha-such a courteous young woman. She goes out of her way to ring me weekly to see how I’m doing and even helped my elderly mother, which I really appreciated. If you’re interested in Virgin Media, give 01733964024 a ring and ask for Tasha. You won’t find anyone better!

This morning, I received a call from the number 01733964024, and the chap on the line, who identified himself as Leon Adams, was keen to offer me a Virgin Media deal. He claimed that my contract with my current internet provider had expired, but it doesn't finish until April next year! It set off alarm bells when he began to pry into details about my bank account and sort code. To top it off, there were odd noises in the background that made the whole thing even more dodgy. I didn’t hesitate to hang up, but he persisted by ringing me multiple times afterwards.

Even though I've blocked this number, it keeps popping up calling me. I didn't pick up when it first rang. I’m from East Yorkshire and don’t know anyone in Peterborough, so right away I figured it was probably some kind of scam before I even looked it up online. Honestly, there should be stricter action against these calls 😠

I received a call claiming to be from Sky, but the connection was really poor - sounded as if they were out for a stroll on a blustery day, with a lot of chatter and rustling in the background. To be honest, they had a rather dodgy vibe about them, so I ended the call after about 15 seconds.

Got a ring from this number just now, saying they’d slash my bill from £55 down to £25 a month. Straight away I felt it was fishy. They somehow had loads of my personal info, which was pretty alarming. They tried to convince me to switch from BT to Virgin because apparently they’re moving everyone over to full fibre. I told them I’d rather stick with BT and pay the £55 than take their offer, then ended the call.
