Pretended to be from the MBNA fraud team, knew my name and said about suspicious transactions on my account. I’m notified of all transactions as they’re made and knew there hadn’t been any but said I’d call back once I check my account. Tried to keep me on the line but I hung up. Checked my account and everything is fine. Have cancelled my card to be precautionary and contacted MBNA.

Got a call saying there might be dodgy activity on my Barclays credit card. They mentioned some purchases I didn’t know about, and asked me to check my app. I told them I can’t really do that because I switched banks. Then they said they’d shut down the card for me and asked which bank I switched to so they could warn them about a possible hack. I told them I’d take care of that later, then they just hung up straight away.
