Got a call saying my broadband had expired but they didn’t give me any proper info about it. Totally felt like a scam to me.

Got a call asking for my missus by her first name, mentioned something about the broadband nearing expiry. I told them she was a bit sneaky since we don't even have broadband. They cut the call right there.

Got a call saying my internet service was no longer valid, but I haven’t even changed providers or anything.

Someone called saying my broadband with my current company had ended and claimed they could see that on their computer. Honestly, with all the rules around GDPR, there’s no way a proper provider would share that sort of info with some random firm that won’t even say who they are. Seriously, someone should alert the ICO about this scam.

No clue who was ringing me from Peterborough, especially on my mobile that barely gets any signal at home. Got no idea who that could have been.
