I got a call from someone claiming they’d give free safety tips and wanted to arrange a visit, but as soon as I asked who they worked for, they just ended the call. Bit odd, really.

Got a cold call from someone wanting to set up a demo for a gadget that alerts emergency services without dialling 999. They clearly had a list of numbers cos the woman tried to guess my name off the account holder. I told her there was no one by that name here, but she kept chatting away like it was no problem. We’re supposedly on the TPS register. When I told her I wasn’t keen, she kind of pushed me to explain why I wasn’t interested.
