He said they needed to send me a new sim card because my current one wouldn’t work once the 3G network gets switched off. He said I’d get the new sim in the post the next day. Then he asked for details from my current sim, but I didn’t give anything. After that, I received a text that looked like it came from o2 with a code and a warning not to share it. I ended the call straight away and rang o2 myself. They told me it was definitely a scam, with these scammers posing as o2 and tricking people into handing over a code that lets them spend on your account. Really important - never give any codes to strangers!
