I picked up but didn't know who it was, then they just ended the call.

This number belongs to Johnston Press, so it’s definitely not a spam call. It’s actually a proper switchboard for a real company.

Got a call out of the blue, trying to pitch ad space in their newspaper. Total spam!

keeps ringing and leaving voicemails, saying they’re from the derbyshire times. honestly, this lot should be shut down for pestering like this.

Someone rang up saying they were from the Doncaster Free Press trying to sell advertising, but I told them I didn’t appreciate cold calls and that I’m on the TPS list. After that, they actually said sorry, which was a bit of a surprise! Not the worst call I’ve had, just pointless really.

I keep receiving calls from this number, which claims to be associated with the local paper. However, the area code seems off, so I’m just going to disregard it.

Honestly, it's a bit daft to get caught out by those cold calls and end up spending on adverts. If what they were offering was actually decent, people would be lining up to buy it without all the hassle of ringing random folks! Cold calling just shows their product’s rubbish.

i received a call about putting an ad for my business in a nearby paper. after doing a bit of checking, everything seems legit and i've decided to go ahead with the advert. the number matched the peterborough office of johnston press, who run quite a few local papers around here. the person on the phone was quite pleasant and didn't try to pressure me at all, plus they let me pause to check their background while we chatted. yes, it was a cold call but nothing annoying or dodgy about it.

this number is legit and belongs to a business that specialises in advertising for local papers. they tend to ring you up out of the blue once you have placed an advert to check if you want to do it again. they gave me a decent offer to repeat the ad so I said yes. I can't really say how pushy they get if you refuse, maybe they do try harder.

got a call from the local Buxton Advertiser paper, trying to sell me some print advertising deal out of the blue. total cold call!

It seems that local media outlets just don’t get the message - they’ve rung me a staggering 16 times in the last week! It’s absolutely ridiculous; they really shouldn’t be permitted to harass people like this.

A bloke named ‘Graham’ rang up about my online biz. He wouldn’t hear me out at all and just brushed off when I kept saying the line had TPS on it. He was so bloody stubborn, I ended up just hanging up on him.

For the past couple of months, I've been bombarded by this number. They ring me up twice daily, without fail. I've made it crystal clear that I'm not interested in what they’re offering and that I'd appreciate it if they’d cease contacting me. Yet, the calls persist, and it’s becoming really infuriating!
