Got a call from 01733427007, which is suspicious and near the Lloyds Bank number in Peterborough. They rang a mate pretending to be from the bank, saying she’d tried to set up a direct debit and threatened to freeze her account unless she confirmed some details. They already had her account number and sort code but the name they gave was wrong. My friend phoned Lloyds directly and they said no one had contacted her. Never pick up calls from numbers you don’t recognise and never share your bank info unless *you* have called the bank first - they won’t ring you out of the blue.
