A woman rang me and kept pushing so I had to end the call. Not long after, a bloke claiming to be the 'manager' phoned me, and when I wouldn’t share my bank card info, he began yelling. He said he was calling to refund me for a boiler service. I told him I couldn’t get to any info on my own without help, but he just wouldn’t listen. So I cut the call off. I’m quite old and reckon someone more vulnerable would have found this really distressing. Writing from Herefordshire.

My old folks got a call about their boiler servicing, even tho they’ve already got it sorted. The guy was really pushy and quite rude too, which felt like a total scam to me. They’re registered with the TPS but still keep getting these calls. It’s really upsetting for them and I’m not sure how to make it stop. Anyone got advice?

I got a call from a lady speaking with a really thick Indian accent, trying to sell us boiler cover. It’s either a scam or just a pushy sales call. We don’t have any boiler cover and our boiler is completely new anyway. Since we’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service, I’ll be reporting them. It’s worrying how easy it would be for vulnerable folks to fall for these kinds of scams.
