Got a call from someone named James claiming to be from Openreach, said he was calling from Mumbai. I barely said anything before I just ended the call. This isn’t the first time folks like that have tried ringing me on this number.

They didn’t leave a message, but after reading what others said, it makes sense.

some bloke claiming to be from bt said he was fixing a fault on my line from a local exchange supposedly near mumbai (definitely not mel). he asked me to check my router but i wasn’t having any of it and told him to find a decent job instead of trying to scam folks (i actually get my internet from bt). recently i've been getting calls from different places - one day swansea, next day london, and whatnot. honestly, best way to dodge these scammers is to screen your calls or just ignore any number you don’t recognise.

somebody called saying they were from bt openreach and talking about my internet. they wanted me to visit a website to test the speed but my techy mate said that site could actually take control of your computer. when i tried ringing back that same number, it just said the number wasn’t valid. very dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be James from BT Openreach about my internet. As soon as I told him I don’t even have internet, he just ended the call straight away.

Some bloke with a thick accent rang me, sounded like he was from one of those call centres in India. Said something about my BT internet. I just ended the call straight away.
